Abbie has been involved in events production for more than a decade. Throughout her career Abbie has worked on large-scale, medium-sized and custom events for several SME corporations in a freelance capacity. She is also a fully qualified medical practitioner, and still practices on a part-time basis with the National Health Service in the UK.

In her spare time Abbie enjoys spending time with friends, reading and listening to knowledge sharing webinars and podcasts. Abbie is also a proud mum to her two children.

Be a leader not a boss

Junior has a largely sales background. Initially beginning his career in the banking sector with Barclays Bank. Working his way up to Area Sales Director for inner London. With a keen interest and affiliation in soccer, Junior then went on to found Players Unsigned a company that supported soccer agents. In the process securing major sponsorship contract and attracting interest from FIFA. Junior's first role in events came in 2012 with market leading events company IQPC as a sponsorship sales manager. After moving from IQPC Junior's next major role was with LBCG (American Business Conferences). During his time with LBCG Junior excelled in his role, becoming the leading sales person within the company, focusing largely on the US Oil & Gas market. 

After forming GSN in 2020, Junior has successfully lead a highly experienced team in providing market leading informative events with a focus on actionable results for all involved. A doting father of four, Junior spends his spare time supporting his children in their various activities and is also part of a veteran soccer league when in the UK.

AKOMBIA KOOMSON

Growth through partnerships

Akombia is a passionate business leader dedicated to promoting Africa through targeted networking events and trade shows.

He began his career in 2007 at Barclays Bank Ghana (ABSA), then joined Vodafone Ghana in 2009, where he held roles in business process improvement, product management, and value-added services. In 2013, he became an Account Manager at Kirusa Inc., a US-based SaaS provider, working with mobile network providers and SMEs. In 2019, he joined AMETrade Limited, managing B2B events across Africa and successfully leading trade shows in various countries. Now, as Regional Director for Africa at Global Strategic Networks, he collaborates with key decision-makers to attract partners to Africa’s Finance, Infrastructure, Energy, and Mining sectors.

Akombia holds an MBA (Finance) from Coventry University and a BSc in Geological Engineering from KNUST.

In his spare time, he writes kids' books, produces children's content on YouTube, follows sports, and enjoys family time.
